The variety belongs to the spring triticale type, but shows plasticity in terms of sowing dates, including the possibility of late autumn sowing. Plant height is approximately 102 cm; the variety possesses very good resistance to lodging.
The plant is distinguished by high resistance to powdery mildew, brown rust, Fusarium head blight, and ergot. The grain has a high thousand kernel weight and high test weight. The variety is characterized by high resistance to pre-harvest sprouting.
The primary use of the variety is as forage. Due to its high biomass yield and starch content, Mazur is suitable for biogas production, including as whole-plant silage.
