The winter triticale variety Palermo is a non-hybrid population variety. Agronomic studies note its insufficient stability of yield indicators when growing conditions change.
Grain of this variety is used as an object for laboratory analysis of phenolic compounds and their antimicrobial properties. In a number of scientific papers and state registers, the variety is mentioned in the context of variety trials, however, detailed morphological descriptions in open publications are limited.
