The 508GD05/101 object is a breeding sample, not a commercial variety. It was included among the genotypes studied in Italy to assess the degree of infestation by fungi of the genus Alternaria, which cause grain embryo darkening.

During the experiment, disease severity scores on a 9-point scale were recorded for this genotype, as well as data on mycotoxin concentration, including alternariol. Agronomic and morphological characteristics of the plant are not presented in the scientific literature.
