The variety is distinguished by an increased carotenoid content in the grain compared to the Amílcar and Don Ricardo varieties. Research indicates the possibility of processing grain of this variety under drought and heat stress conditions, with its quality potentially comparable to traditional common wheat.

During the evaluation of Spanish durum wheat genotypes, the variety demonstrated the ability to limit leaf tissue colonization by the fungus Zymoseptoria tritici. The purpose of the variety is typical for durum wheat, however, research is underway to evaluate its potential for bread-making use.
