Homer is a mid-late soft winter wheat with a stem height of 68 to 90 centimeters. The plant is characterized by high resistance to lodging, as well as resistance to leaf rust, yellow rust, and powdery mildew. At the same time, the variety demonstrates susceptibility to Septoria and Fusarium head blight.

The grain of the variety possesses high quality indicators corresponding to the category of "strong" wheats. On a high agricultural background, the protein content reaches 14.6%, and the gluten content is 27.1%, which ensures excellent milling and baking properties of the produce.
