The variety was created within the framework of a national breeding program for adaptation to the specific soil and climatic conditions of Cyprus, characterized by limited water supply and high temperatures. It is intended for the production of grain used in the food industry.

The plant possesses a combination of yield and grain quality indicators, being considered one of the benchmark varieties for the region. The variety performs successfully under organic farming conditions and remains in demand within the local farming community.
