Variety description

The variety belongs to the parrot tulip group. When fully open, the flowers reach a diameter of 11–20 cm. The petals have the form characteristic of the group: strongly fringed, serrated, curved, and twisted. The color is deep, dark burgundy, sometimes almost black, with a contrasting star-shaped center and a bright yellow pistil.

The stems of the plant reach a height of 40–60 cm. The variety is mid-season or late-blooming; the flowering period occurs in May and lasts 2–3 weeks. Due to the large, heavy inflorescences, the variety is sensitive to wind and requires planting sites sheltered from inclement weather.
