Variety description

The variety belongs to the Darwin Hybrid group and was obtained by crossing a tetraploid Tulipa gesneriana seedling with a diploid Tulipa fosteriana seedling. The plant height is 40–65 cm; the stem is thick, strong, and erect, and is resistant to lodging.

The flowers are bright red, tomato-red, or salmon-red with a golden-yellow border and a yellow spot at the base, and possess a light fragrance. Flowering occurs from April to May.

The plant has good winter hardiness, high resistance to diseases, including the tulip breaking virus, and pests. It is suitable for landscaping, container cultivation, bouquets, and is capable of naturalization.
