The variety belongs to the Triumph tulip group. The plant reaches a height of 36–45 cm, has grayish-green foliage and strong flower stalks resistant to wind. Flowering occurs in the mid-season, falling in April–May.
The flowers have a goblet shape and a bright red-orange color with purple streaks. The variety is used in landscape design, for mass plantings and cut flower production, and is also suitable for pot forcing. There is a mutation of this variety — Hermitage Double, which belongs to early double tulips.
