The variety was obtained by hybridizing the Strong Gold and Mellrose varieties. It belongs to the double early tulip group.

Flowers are double, bicolored, with a white-cream base color and purple shades in the center. The coloration is distributed as a petal margin. Flower length is 3.5–4 cm. The variety is of medium height, and the flowering period is characterized as medium-late.

The plant is used as an ornamental for landscape design in group plantings.
