The variety belongs to the 5th class — Darwin Hybrids. The flower is large, broadly goblet-shaped, reaching a height of 9.5–10 cm. The color is bright red, the base of the flower is black with a yellow border, and the outer perianth segments have a carmine-red bloom on the back.

The plant height is from 40 to 80 cm. The variety is mid-flowering, with the flowering period occurring in April–May. Due to its strong stem, the plant is resistant to lodging and also possesses high resistance to diseases.

It is used in ornamental gardening for landscaping flower beds and borders, as well as a cut flower crop. The variety was obtained as a result of breeding the Darwin group with the species tulip Tulipa fosteriana.
