The Python variety belongs to the Double Early tulip group and has a mid-early flowering period. The plant is characterized as tall, reaching a height of about 40 cm. The flower color is dark purple.

The variety is suitable for forcing, including water forcing. For 9-degree forcing, it requires about 15 weeks of cooling, the approximate flowering time is 21 days, with the earliest possible start of forcing from December 1. The variety is intended for commercial cut flower use.
