Variety description

The variety was obtained through selection from seedlings of the local Hungarian species Ulmus pumila to improve the trunk structure, which in wild forms is often prone to low branching. The tree reaches a height of 15–18 meters and forms a regular conical crown, which becomes spreading with age.

Leaves are narrow, ovate-lanceolate, leathery, dark green, with a serrated edge. The variety is characterized by high growth vigor, low soil requirements, including alkaline and saline soils, as well as high frost resistance. It tolerates pruning well, which allows it to be used for creating hedges and topiary forms.
