The cultivar is a medium-sized deciduous tree reaching 12–15 meters in height. It has a straight trunk and more robust branches than the species plant, forming a spreading spherical crown.
The leaves are larger than those of the typical Ulmus pumila, having a leathery, glossy dark green surface, an asymmetric base, and doubly serrated edges. The number of lateral veins varies from 10 to 14.
The plant is characterized by a rapid growth rate. In the first years after planting, trees require staking. The cultivar possesses full resistance to Dutch elm disease and is suitable for urban landscaping.
