Clone «20-02» is an interspecific hybrid created within the framework of breeding work to search for varieties for northern regions. Genetic material for research was obtained from seeds collected in 1997 and 2000.

During tests, the specimen demonstrated a higher content of ascorbic acid, phenolic compounds and anthocyanins compared to a number of other experimental specimens. The clone's berries are characterized as being larger, however its total yield is inferior to the commercial variety «Northblue».
