The variety belongs to the group of hybrids of blueberry and lowbush blueberry and is distinguished by its ability to overwinter under snow cover, which ensures its adaptation to northern climates. Plants demonstrate the best productivity indicators in regions with a sufficient duration of the growing season.
The plant is multi-purpose and can be used as an ornamental shrub or pollinator for other blueberry varieties. The berries of the variety, the name of which translates from Finnish as "dark", contain a complex of phenolic compounds.
