The Dixi bush is powerful, vigorous, and spreading, reaching a height of 1.5–2 m. The variety belongs to the late maturity group: the fruiting period occurs in August–September.

The berries have an oblate shape, a diameter of about 20–22 mm, and a light blue color. The taste is characterized as sweet, delicate, and aromatic. Upon full ripening, the fruits are prone to shedding and therefore require timely harvesting.

The yield of the variety is 3.6–7 kg per bush. The plant possesses winter hardiness down to −28.8 °C (USDA zone 5) and moderate disease resistance. To obtain a stable yield, cross-pollination with other highbush blueberry varieties is required.

The variety is demanding regarding growing conditions: high soil acidity (pH 3.5–5.0) and a sunny location protected from the wind are necessary. The fruits are suitable for fresh consumption, culinary use, baking, and freezing.
