The plant forms dense rosettes of rounded dark green leaves, reaching a height of about 15 cm. The variety is early-maturing, characterized by rapid growth, and possesses a pleasant sweetish taste of the leaves.

The variety is distinguished by frost resistance down to -15 °C and is capable of overwintering in the soil. Intended for sowing from July to October with subsequent harvesting from September to March. The plant is undemanding, grows well in open ground, containers, or balcony boxes in moist and cool conditions.

Used as a leaf vegetable in fresh form for salads or for preparation similar to spinach.
