The plant is an epiphytic monopodial species with an erect stem and strap-shaped leaves arranged in two rows. The root system is developed, of the aerial type, adapted to absorbing moisture and nutrients from the environment.

The flowers of the variety are distinguished by their longevity and specific morphology of the perianth segments, in particular, a strong concavity of the profile of the lateral sepals in cross-section. The plant requires conditions with high humidity and high-quality ventilation of the root system.
