The variety is an herbaceous perennial, which in temperate climates is grown as a short-lived plant or requires protection. The bush is dense and compact, differing from the original species by its significantly lower height. Leaves are dark green, lanceolate with serrated edges, concentrated mainly at the base of the stems.
Small lilac flowers are gathered in dense corymbose inflorescences at the tops of the stems. The variety has high resistance to lodging, diseases, and pests. The plant prefers sunny areas with well-drained soils of medium fertility, exhibits drought tolerance after rooting, and is a honey plant.
