The variety is a low-growing plant 8 to 15 cm in height, forming a dense mat. The narrow dark green leaves have a characteristic golden-yellow margin, which maintains its decorative appearance throughout the season and does not scorch in the sun. The flowers are small, of a delicate violet-blue shade, gathered in short racemes; flowering occurs in late spring and early summer.
The plant is frost-hardy (USDA zones 4–9) and drought-tolerant at maturity. It prefers well-drained soils and a sunny location. Pruning after flowering is recommended to maintain a dense form. The variety may be susceptible to diseases typical for Veronica, such as powdery mildew, leaf spot, and fungal rots.
