The variety is an interspecific hybrid obtained as a result of accidental cross-pollination of Veronica austriaca 'Crater Lake Blue' and Veronica prostrata. The plant is characterized by soft green, fern-like leaves and is semi-evergreen.

The height of the mature plant is 15–23 cm, width is about 40 cm. The flowers are violet-blue, the flowering period occurs from June–August.

The plant is used as an ornamental groundcover crop for open field and containers. It prefers well-drained soils, full sun exposure, and regular, moderate watering.
