Variety description

The variety is late-maturing; the period from sowing to pod formation exceeds 125–130 days. The plant has a semi-erect growth habit and a dense stand with thin, well-foliated stems. The seeds are small, black, with a white hilum.

The variety is resistant to rust, but is susceptible to infection by Ascochyta, gray mold, and downy mildew. The crop is valued for high biomass productivity when harvesting hay and silage, and is also used for soil fertility improvement and in crop rotations for weed control.

The grain of the variety contains the toxic substance L-canavanine, which is why it is not recommended for livestock feed. When grazing animals or using green mass, caution must be exercised to prevent cases of toxicosis.
