The Titus variety is a determinate, or self-terminating, faba bean variety. Due to this growth type, the plants are characterized by a limited stem height compared to varieties with an indeterminate growth type.
The variety is used in agricultural production as a high-protein component of animal feed, including for poultry farming. Titus is also often used in agronomic research as a standard for evaluating cultivation technologies and the productivity of grain legume crops.
