The variety was obtained by backcrossing the Alameda variety with a mutant line with a determinate growth type. The plant is characterized by a compact bush form and high pod yield, providing a large quantity of seeds per unit area. The time to flowering is approximately 84 days.
The variety has the ability to avoid infestation by the parasitic weed Orobanche crenata and exhibits tolerance to high doses of glyphosate used to control this parasite. The produce possesses high organoleptic qualities.
