The variety is small-seeded, with a thousand kernel weight of approximately 246–350 g. Plants are distinguished by lodging resistance and a lack of tendency for pods to shatter.

Used primarily as a cover crop and in mixtures; valued for nitrogen fixation and soil fertility improvement. Protein content in the produce can reach 26%. The recommended seeding rate is 0.6–0.9 million viable seeds per 1 ha.
