Variety description

The plant reaches a height of about 80 cm. The variety is characterized by high productivity and is a synonym for the variety «Hangdown Grünkernig». The seeds have a mild taste without the pronounced bitterness characteristic of varieties that darken when boiled.

The variety is intended for fresh consumption and canning. It is susceptible to black aphid infestation, therefore pinching the tops after flowering begins and companion planting with dill is recommended. It is used as a control sample during variety trials.
