The variety is the result of breeding from local Italian Vesuvio material. The plant belongs to the winter growth type and demonstrates high resistance to low temperatures. The yield level is from 3 to 5 tons per hectare, while resistance to Sclerotinia is assessed as satisfactory.
The seeds of the variety are small and kidney-shaped with a black color; the thousand kernel weight is 340–350 grams. The product is used as concentrated feed for farm animals or for hay production, including in mixtures with cereal crops.
