The variety belongs to the traditional fava bean cultivars bred in the territory of the former Czechoslovakia. In scientific literature, it is mentioned among other regional varieties of that time.
The variety was widely used as biological material for physiological experiments, in particular when studying the influence of heavy metals on meristem cells and the effect of boric acid on root growth processes. Detailed agronomic and economic characteristics of the variety are absent in open publications.
