The plant has an erect growth type, which facilitates mechanized harvesting. The variety shows resistance to aphid infestation and broomrape, is free from bacteriosis, and is practically not damaged by lagomorphs. It is well-adapted to warm and dry climatic conditions and is distinguished by a low susceptibility to pod dehiscence.
Protein content in seeds is 21–30%, starch is about 32%, and fats are 1.5–1.6%. The level of gamma-glutamyl-S-ethenyl-cysteine varies from 0.4 to 3.8%. The crop is intended for use as a protein feed resource in animal diets.
