The Vígľašská hnedá variety belongs to spring forms of common vetch. According to cytogenetic studies, the plant is diploid and has 12 chromosomes (2n = 12).

This variety is mentioned in agricultural institutes of Slovakia. Currently, it is represented in genetic resource databases as a collection sample, while detailed agronomic characteristics are absent in open sources.
