The variety «Ukrainka» was studied as a forage crop for obtaining green mass in the conditions of North-West Russia. Research was conducted both in monoculture and in binary crops with oats, rapeseed, and barley in order to evaluate biological traits, including branching intensity, green mass accumulation, and protein content.

This variety is represented in genetic resource collections and is considered an old variety population. Specific data on maturity group, plant height, or disease resistance are absent in the publications.
