The plant is an evergreen subshrub with trailing and rooting shoots, reaching a height of 8–15 cm, in rare cases up to 40 cm. The leaves are glossy, variegated, egg-shaped with a bright yellow or creamy-white center and wide dark green margins.
Flowering begins in mid-spring and can continue until autumn; the violet-blue flowers have a diameter of up to 5 cm. Due to the high content of light-colored tissue in the leaves, the variety grows slower than pure green forms.
The plant is drought-tolerant, prefers good drainage, as it can be susceptible to root rots, leaf spots, and powdery mildew. In regions with severe winters, it may require protection or be cultivated as an annual.
The right is granted for a limited term: propagation of the variety requires a license from the rights holder.
