Variety description

The plant is an evergreen subshrub with trailing shoots capable of rooting upon contact with the soil. The height is from 30 to 50 cm. Large dark green leaves are decorated with irregular creamy-white or light yellow spots.

Violet-blue flowers bloom in the leaf axils from April to June; re-blooming is possible. The variety prefers shade or partial shade, moderately moist, well-drained soils with a pH of 5.5–6.5. Winter hardiness corresponds to USDA zones 6b–8.

The plant is used as a ground-cover crop or in hanging baskets and planters. Compared to the species Vinca minor, this variety is considered less aggressive in spreading. All parts of the plant are toxic if ingested.
