Variety description

The plant has upright shoots and develops as a compact bush rather than a typical vine. The leaves are small, entire, kidney-shaped, smooth, and shiny. Shoots are characterized by a reddish-purple color with a waxy bloom, and are short and branched. The variety's root system is vigorous, deep, and taproot-type.
The variety is intended exclusively for use as a rootstock and possesses high resistance to the root form of phylloxera, though it is sensitive to its leaf form. The rootstock tolerates excessive moisture and magnesium deficiency poorly, but adapts well to dry and rocky soils. The variety is susceptible to downy mildew, anthracnose, melanosis, and Botrytis.
