Variety description

The plant is a compact vine with imparipinnate leaves, the shoots of which twist counter-clockwise when climbing a support. Growth rates are rapid; mature specimens reach 5–6 meters in height with a width of 3–4 meters. The variety requires sturdy supports to secure the heavy, woody shoots.
Flowering occurs on current-year shoots, beginning in May–June, with the possibility of repeated flowering until autumn. Racemes 10–15 cm long have a lavender-violet or blue-violet color and a light fragrance. The variety enters the flowering phase in the first or second year after planting.
The plant is winter hardy, withstands temperatures down to -20...-23 °C, and is relatively drought tolerant. With excessive humidity, the development of fungal infections is possible. All parts of the plant, including seeds and pods, are toxic if ingested.
