The inflorescences have a dark purple or deep black-purple color with a diameter of 8–12 cm. The foliage is dark green, often with a spotted pattern. The plant height varies from 20 to 60 cm depending on growing conditions.

The plant is intended for cultivation in gardens, borders, and containers, as well as for creating floral arrangements. The variety is thermophilic, blooming from late spring to summer. In regions with cold climates, tubers require lifting for the winter.
