The variety is characterized by a dark spathe color, often described as black. The flower diameter is 8–8.5 cm, and the spathe height is 7.5–8 cm. The plant has the arrow-shaped leaves and spadix inflorescence typical for the genus.

The plant is intended for pot cultivation and can be used as a cut flower crop. The variety is thermophilic, does not tolerate frost, and requires well-drained fertile soil and regular watering during the growing season.
