The variety is characterized by completely black or dark purple spathes and a black peduncle. The leaves are very dark green with a black-purple margin, and the underside of the leaf is also colored black. The plant is an improved form of the Zantedeschia Black Star and is distinguished by more vigorous growth.

The plant is used primarily as an ornamental crop for pot cultivation, patios, or terraces. The variety is not frost-resistant, requires a well-drained substrate and moderate watering, as it is sensitive to waterlogging.
