Variety description

10 August 2026

The Accent F1 sweet corn hybrid belongs to the SH2 type. The plant is characterized by vigorous development and the ability to form up to two ears per stalk. The ears are cylindrical in shape, up to 24 cm long, 4–5 cm in diameter, and weigh 200–300 g. The kernels are characterized by a bright yellow color and a shiny surface. The maturity period is about 80–82 days. The crop has high resistance to heat, drought, and major diseases, and is suitable for fresh consumption, canning, and freezing.

In official European variety catalogs, the name Accent also appears in the field or silage maize category. At the same time, in agricultural practice, the name Accent is often associated with the herbicide of the same name for protecting maize crops from weeds, which requires attention when searching for information about the plant.
