The hybrid is characterized by a vigorous, well-leafed plant with a height of 270–290 cm and erectoid leaf type. Ears are attached at a height of 100–110 cm; the grain type is flint. The plant belongs to the stay-green type.
The hybrid is of the intensive type, capable of yielding up to 14 t/ha of grain and 60–65 t/ha of green mass with average moisture loss. Scientific research also mentions a local maize variety under a similar name, Roxo de Emilio, which represents a landrace for genetic study.
