The variety contained three inserted genes: a Bt gene providing resistance to Lepidopteran insects, specifically the European corn borer; a tolerance gene to glufosinate ammonium-based herbicides; and an antibiotic resistance marker gene.

Given that the variety was considered a technological object, information on its morphological traits is practically absent. JORDI CB maize was withdrawn from the market in 2005.
