Hybrid LG 31272 belongs to the mid-early maturity group with FAO 270. It is used for both grain production and silage, due to the high starch content in its composition.
The plant reaches a height of about 260 cm. The grain is of the flint-dent type. The cob contains 14–16 rows of kernels, with about 32 kernels in each.
The hybrid possesses high tolerance to drought conditions, resistance to lodging, Fusarium, and common smut. A distinctive feature is the intensive grain moisture loss during the ripening process.
