The Mammouth hybrid is a significant representative of past forage maize, which was used in silage technologies. Its genetics are linked to the use of lines related to B14, which were characteristic of the period of active development of new resources in European breeding.

Studies of product quality indicate the low cell wall digestibility inherent in this type of hybrid, caused by the characteristics of the parental lines. Current modern agronomic characteristics for this variety are absent, as it belongs to a historical stage of breeding.
