The Notoa hybrid was intended for grain cultivation. In state variety trial materials conducted in the early 2000s, this hybrid was used as a control for evaluating other varieties.

Specific morphological characteristics and data on grain quality composition are not presented in detail in open reference books. During the trials, the lodging index was recorded at 4.1% of broken plants.
