The hybrid is characterized by early maturity with an 85-day rating and is intended for grain use. In 1984 field experiments, the hybrid was grown at a planting density of about 60,000 plants per hectare.
The parental forms of the hybrid are line P502 as the pollen parent and line P346 as the seed parent. In the scientific literature of the 1980s, the hybrid was used to study the dynamics of pollen shed, silking, grain water status, and yield potential formation.
