The hybrid belongs to the waxy corn type, in which the starch consists almost entirely of amylopectin. The plant is characterized by a strong stalk, a robust root system, and a medium ear placement. According to the FAO classification, the hybrid has a rating of 510.
The produce is valued for a high yield of extractable starch, which is used in the food industry, textile and paper manufacturing, as well as in pharmaceuticals. To maintain the properties of waxy corn, spatial isolation from other types of corn is required.
During post-harvest grain processing, there are specific temperature requirements: drying must be carried out at an air temperature no higher than 70°C, and the temperature of the grain itself must not exceed 60°C.
