The lines PHGG7 and PHKM5 are inbred corn forms. The line PHGG7 is classified as a Stiff-stalk synthetic type and is characterized by an early flowering date. The line PHKM5 is a yellow dent corn, also belonging to a temperate climate group with an early flowering date.
In breeding practice, PHGG7/PHKM5 is considered a hybrid combination serving as an object for the study of genetic diversity and combining ability. These designations are internal identifiers for breeding material and are not used as a publicly available commercial variety name for agricultural producers.
