Hybrid PR39D82 is a genetically modified form (Bt-hybrid) created on the basis of the classic grain hybrid PR39D81. The plant belongs to maturity group FAO 270.
Due to the introduction of the Bacillus thuringiensis gene, the hybrid possesses genetic resistance to damage by the European corn borer. This property contributes to a reduction in mycotoxin content in the grain, as it prevents the penetration of fungi of the genus Fusarium through damage caused by pests.
The variety is characterized by good resistance to drought conditions and high rates of grain moisture release during the ripening period.
