The maize hybrid PX 15 appeared in agricultural reports and commercial variety lists in the late 1970s. In trials conducted in the USA, grain moisture at harvest for the hybrid was recorded at the 18.2% level along with relative yield values.
Publications of that period do not contain a detailed morphological description of the plant, including ear height or shape, nor specific characteristics regarding resistance to diseases or lodging.
